Clinical Trials

Clinical Trials

Southern Regional Medical Center offers the newest cancer treatments available through clinical trials in the community. We are an affiliate of the Atlanta Regional Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP). The program is sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. CCOP is a title granted only to those hospitals demonstrating excellence in cancer care. Clinical trials are carefully conducted research studies designed to evaluate new medical treatments and find whether existing treatments are effective for other conditions. In clinical trials, doctors, researchers and human volunteers work together to help improve treatment options and health outcomes.
