About Us
The Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation continues to be recognized as a leader contributing to excellence in healthcare. As an integral supporter of the Southern Regional Health System we focus on the unique community we serve by nurturing relationships with our donors.

Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation is focused on developing a strong base of philanthropic support to help further Southern Regional Medical Center’s mission — to meet changing healthcare needs by providing quality services, community health-education programs, and access to care for everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. It is also focused on seeing that the master plan for Southern Regional Medical Center facilities and services keeps pace with community needs and on wisely investing donated assets to maximize their benefits to those served by hospital programs.

As the costs of providing basic health care services continue to rise, it becomes increasingly important to support the fund raising efforts of the Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation. Southern Regional Medical Center receives no local tax support. The generous gifts of the community have never been more vital than they are today, when the gap between government and private insurance reimbursement for services and the true cost is widening. Southern Regional finds like hospitals everywhere that the dollar isn't stretching far enough to make important purchases of state-of-the-art technology and maintain key services, especially our programs that reach out to the poor and uninsured.

In an effort to address these increasing challenges, the Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation was established in 1972. The Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit organization created to serve the hospital. Contributions are tax deductible. Gifts of cash, stocks, bonds and land are all acceptable, as well as planned giving through estate planning. By seeking and attracting charitable contributions, the Foundation is working to enhance the quality of health care in our community and assist in reducing the costs of those services.

There's probably no hospital today that can maintain the very best in health care technology and services without the help of some very special friends — its benefactors. Each year hundreds of generous donors — many of them former patients, foundations and local corporations — contribute to the Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation, making a difference in the lives of countless people who depend on their community hospital.

There are a number of ways you can give. To find out more about the possible ways to contribute, please read our Ways to Give section. If you would like to make a contribution or contact the SRMC Foundation, please call (770) 991-8004.

The Southern Regional Medical Center Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation set up exclusively to receive donations to support the hospital's programs and capital equipment needs. Overseen by a volunteer board of trustees composed of community leaders, the foundation is dedicated to helping this community hospital fulfill its mission to provide excellent, compassionate care to all. Click here for more information on the board of trustees.

We hope that you, too, will join a community that has shown a Commitment to Caring and help ensure that your community hospital will remain strong and ready to serve you, your mother or your best friend when you need us most. And for those who have been generous donors in the past, we will be very grateful for your continued support today. Your gift will be tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
