"Stroke Heroes" Coloring Contest Winners Enjoy Day

Stroke Awareness Coloring Contest Winners Enjoy Their Day at Southern Regional Medical Center and Clayton County Fire and Emergency Station 1

On Friday, June 30, Southern Regional Medical Center, in conjunction with the Clayton County Fire and Emergency Services, announced the winners of the 2017 Stroke Awareness Coloring Contest. The Recognition Celebration of the "Stroke Heroes" was held at the hospital and Clayton County Fire and Emergency Station 1 (adjacent to the hospital).

The three winners – first, second, and third place honorees – were all from Clayton County School District's elementary schools. Along with their families, they attend the event and were presented with their awards in the hospital Computer Tomography Department’s Gathering Room. After the awards were presented, they toured the hospital’s CT Department and then made their way to the Clayton County Fire and Emergency Station 1 where they toured the station.

Everyone had a fun and engaging morning!

Throughout the Spring, area children were able to participate in the Coloring Contest through the Riverdale Library Children’s Program. All entries were reviewed and the winners were selected by a committee of Southern Regional Emergency Department staff along with our community partners through Clayton County Fire and Emergency.
