Summer 2018 Volunteen Program

Southern Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for the 2018 summer Volunteen Program. The program offers Clayton County high school students, who are at least 16 years old, a hands-on opportunity to experience various areas within the healthcare field. Although a commitment of time, the program allows teens selected for participation

to choose specific days and hours to volunteer, as well as select from more than a dozen clinical and non-clinical areas in which to focus. The program runs from June 4 through July 30.

Applicants must be in high school and be 16 years of age by May 31, 2018. All applicants must submit a completed application form and volunteer packet that includes such elements as letters of recommendation and a 250-word essay. After a panel reviews completed applications, selected applicants will be required to attend a personal interview. Final candidates will be selected after all prospective candidate interviews are completed. Successful Volunteens will be contacted between May 7 and 18.

Volunteen Program application packets can be downloaded at: www.southernregional.org/Volunteen or requested via email at SRGA-Volunteerinfo@primehealthcare.com.

Applications are due by Monday, April 30. No applications can be accepted after this date and only complete applications will be considered.
