We believe is that the presence of family and friends helps the healing
process. Therefore, if you have a loved one staying at Southern Regional,
we encourage you to visit them during their stay. However, because our
patients are here to get well, we politely discourage visiting by
persons who have colds or infections. Visitors should be limited to
two at a time, and we request that visitors not eat in the patient rooms.
Visitation by young children is not encouraged. Visitors under 14 years
of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Each of the comfortable patient rooms at Southern Regional includes a
telephone with a phone number which can be dialed directly from
outside the hospital. Family and friends may telephone a patient's
room by dialing 770-909-2 + the last three digits of the patient's
room number (example - If a patient you are trying to reach is in room
234, you should dial 770-909-2234). Because our patients need
rest, calls will NOT ring to a patient's room between the hours
of 9:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. |

The Windmill Gift Shop

Operated by the Southern Regional Medical Center
Auxillary, the Windmill Gift Shop offers a variety of toiletries, snacks, and
gift items. The shop is located on the first floor, adjacent to the main
lobby (view map). The Windmill
accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Since the shop is
operated by an all-volunteer staff, hours are subject to change but
are usually as follows:

9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Magnolia Cafe (our cafeteria located
on-site)
Visitors may purchase meals at the Magnolia Cafe, located on
the ground floor of the main hospital behind the "A"
elevators (view map).
Mealtimes offer a wide variety of inviting food choices
including a hot food line, specialty of the day bar, a grill
(open weekdays only),
a salad bar, a dessert bar, and an assortment of beverages.

We also have a Chick-Fil-A kiosk located in the Women's Life

Vending Machines
If you only need a snack, there are vending machines located on the
ground floor next to the cafeteria (view
map). Cold drink machines are located on each of the floors of the
hospital.

restaurants located nearby on Georgia Hwy. 85 (turn right out of the
hospital and go to the 5th light) and Tara Blvd. (turn left out of the

withdrawals and cash transfers. Depending on your bank, you might be
assessed a service charge for using this teller machine. It is not
equipped to accept deposits or payments.

Our Smoking Policy
|

Southern Regional Medical Center is proud to be a smoke-free hospital.
Smoking is not permitted in any area inside the hospital by patients,
staff, visitors, medical personnel, or other persons. Visitors may
smoke on the patio behind the cafeteria (view
map) or in the gazebo located at the front of the hospital (view
map).
