• Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
   

• ECHO Lab Accreditation with Distinction by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories. Southern Regional was one of the first one thousand to receive the distinction nationally, and is the only health care facility south of I-20 with it.
   

• Laboratory Accreditation with Distinction by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists.
   

• American College of Radiology accreditation for Mammography Department.
   

• American College of Radiology accreditation for Ultrasound Department.
   

• Coronary Arterial Disease support and accreditation for our designation as a “Get with the Guidelines Hospital” from the American Heart Association.
   

• Vascular Laboratory national accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories. Southern Regional is the only hospital-based vascular lab in the Southern Crescent with this distinction.
   

• Oncology Services’ approval by The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) signifying that our oncology patients have access to comprehensive, quality care that conforms to all the ACoS standards.
   

• Received Chest Pain Center Accreditation recommendation from The Society of Chest Pain Centers acknowledging Southern Regional’s commitment to providing high quality care in the diagnosis and treatment of acute coronary syndromes and process improvement. Southern Regional was only the second Atlanta area hospital with this distinction.
   

• Home Health State License / Medicare Certification.
   

• Diabetes Resource Center accredited by the American Diabetes Association.
   

• Cardiac Rehabilitation Program from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The certification acknowledges that Southern Regional’s cardiac rehab program exceeds the essential standards of care for cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention programs. Southern Regional has metro-Atlanta’s only hospital-based certified cardiac rehab program south of I-20.
   

• Food/Nutrition Services Accreditation Survey - Internship Program.
