multiple Computed Radiography (CR) units. In the near future,
we will be proud to offer PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication
System), the latest revolution in radiography.
This is
the largest department within Diagnostic Imaging. The highly
qualified radiology staff performs approximately 65,000 exams on
inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients each
year. This year alone we have updated several pieces of equipment to
keep up with advancements in technology. We now offer CR (Computed
Radiography) for our critical care patients and we added a digital
room (Swissray) to streamline our outpatients and emergency room
patients. Our film file room now has the capability to make better
quality copies for our patients with our new Vidar System.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

The
full-service MRI department performs approximately 5,000 patient
exams each year. For the convenience of our patients the MRI
department offers early morning and evening appointments. We
also offer patients a new level of comfort for this procedure with
our Short Bore Magnet, which provides for a technological
advanced exam with decreased apprehension. |
