The Community Care Center at Southern Regional provides ambulatory,
primary care for people with minor acute illnesses and stable
chronic illnesses. The center is the appropriate setting for
patients who don't already have a primary care physician and who are
not experiencing an emergency medical condition. It saves patients
both time and money versus visiting our Emergency Department for
non-emergency medical conditions and all patients receive the great
care and excellent customer service that Southern Regional is known
for.
The center is staffed by certified family nurse practitioners who
provide care under medically approved protocols and physician backup
is readily available. We believe in the holistic approach that
focuses on wellness in both the mind and body. Health and wellness
promotion and disease prevention are keys to improving quality of
life..
The Community Care Center at Southern Regional offers discounted
office visits on a sliding fee scale to patients who meet certain
criteria and provide the proper information. Non-managed care
Medicaid is accepted and private insurances (no HMOs) are welcome.
