To continue to reach out to the community while providing
appropriate care, Southern Regional offers the services of
its Women's Community Care facility.
Women's Community Care offers a full range of obstetrical
and gynecological services to meet the healthcare needs of
all women. Some of the services offered include:
- Prenatal Care
- Labor, Delivery, and Newborn Care through the
Women's Life Center
- Postpartum Care
- Regular Gynecological Exams
They also have a social worker who can help you with referrals to
community agencies and a host of other services.
Our Care Team
At Women's Community Care, we feel a team approach is best suited to
meet the varied needs of our patients. We match you up with the
providers most qualified and in tune with your individual needs.
Our team is made up of highly-trained professionals dedicated to
providing you with superior care. Included on our staff are certified
nurse midwives, OB/GYN nurse practitioners, physicians, nurses, and
social workers.
Prenatal and labor / delivery care is provided by our nurse midwives,
while OB/GYN nurse practitioners see patients with gynecological
issues. Remember, a physician is always available for
any medical or surgical needs that you may have.
Appointment Information
Women's Community Care patients are seen by appointment only.
Making an appointment with Women's Community Care is easy. Just call
770-909-2517 and let our receptionist know the type of services
you think you might need. If you think you may be pregnant, you must
visit the Emergency Department first to confirm that you are
pregnant. The Health Department will find out if you are
eligible for any government assistance programs and refer you to our
clinic.
Payment Options
Our goal is to provide you with the healthcare that you need
regardless of your financial position. Women's Community Care accepts
most commercial insurance (no HMOs), Medicaid, Medicare, and patients
without any insurance. If you do not have any insurance, you are
considered to be a "self-pay" patient. If you are a "self-pay"
patient, we will set up an appointment for you to speak with a
financial counselor who will discuss our charges and set up a payment
plan that works for you.
