Podiatry at Southern Regional
Specialty Surgical Care for Your Feet
Having healthy feet is important. Your feet make it possible to stand,
walk and go about your daily activities.
But sometimes foot problems can make even the most basic activities become
painful. Southern Regional offers comprehensive podiatry services to care
for all of your foot conditions.
From bunions to hammer toes, there are many treatment and surgical options
available at Southern Regional. Our podiatrists can treat a wide variety
of foot problems, from something as minor as an ingrown toenail to a condition
that causes painful inflammation like plantar fasciitis.
We also specialize in diabetic foot conditions, such as infections caused
by the blood circulation problems and other challenges of diabetes. Foot
care for diabetics is extremely important because even common foot conditions
can lead to serious problems in people with diabetes.
As with every surgery at Southern Regional, each podiatry surgery patient
is assigned a
care coordinator who walks them through every step in the surgery process, from pre-assessment
to post-operative care.
Prior to surgery, they educate each patient about what to expect of the
upcoming procedure and arrange for any
pre-surgery tests. They also provide support on the day of surgery and keep waiting family
members informed of progress.
After surgery, care coordinators help facilitate communication with the
physicians and assist with follow-up care.
