- Taking your medication correctly
- Staying active and getting regular exercise
- Keeping your doctor appointments
- Calling the doctor when you start to experience heart failure

- Determines the cause of your heart failure
- Treats the cause of the problem when possible
- Prescribes the correct medicine and increases the dose to the target
dose
- Treats worsening symptoms quickly
