Cancer:
- Gender: Being male
- Age: Over 50 years. More than 70% are diagnosed in men over
the age of 65.
- Race: African-American men are at higher risk than in white
American men. Asian men are at lower risk than white men. The risk in
Hispanic men is similar to that of white men.
- Nationality: Most common in North America and northwestern
Europe. It is less common in Asia, Africa, Central America, and South
America.
- Family History: Prostate cancer seems to run in some
families, suggesting an inherited or genetic factor.
- Diet: A diet high in red meat and high-fat dairy products.
