The Rehabilitation Center at Southern Regional - What to Bring

A family member/caregiver should accompany patients who are being admitted to The Rehabilitation Center at Southern Regional. Below is a list of items that the patient should bring:

  • Medical insurance cards
  • A copy of your Advance Directive, if you have one
  • Loose, comfortable street clothing (enough for several days) to wear during the day. · It is best if the clothing is labeled with your name. · Personal laundry services are not available. Clothing will need to be exchanged regularly.
  • Socks and sturdy, comfortable shoes with non-skid soles (sneakers or tennis shoes, for example). No backless shoes, please.
  • Underwear and sleepwear
  • Disposable briefs if incontinent of bowel or bladder
  • Personal items such as family pictures, favorite housecoat, or blanket that will make your hospital room feel more like home
  • Personal toiletries
  • Dentures and supplies
  • Eyeglasses and/or contact lenses and supplies
  • Hearing aids and batteries
  • Any medical equipment that you may already be using at home such as a walker, cane, or prosthesis
