To provide our patients with the very best care possible, Southern
Regional uses the highly trained anesthesiologists and anesthetists
of Riverdale Anesthesia Associates, PC.
All anesthesiologists at Southern Regional are board certified or
board eligible physicians. These physicians are assisted by
registered nurse anesthetists or physicians' assistants who have
been trained and certified in the use of anesthesia. The entire
staff has been trained in advanced cardiac life support.
Together these doctors and nurses comprise the Anesthesia Care
Team, which provides for a patient's needs and comfort before,
during, and after surgery. The mission of the Care Team is to
provide quality, cost-effective, efficient, and comprehensive
anesthesia services for a diverse population that meet the needs
of our customers and exceed their expectations.
The hospital's anesthesiologists are capable of administering
general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia
care. The group is proud to have anesthesiologists with
sub-specialties in such categories as cardiac anesthesia and pain
management. Specialists include two cardiac anesthesiologists, one
obstetric anesthesiologist, three double-boarded pain physicians,
and two pediatric anesthesiologists.
