The Laboratory offers a full range of clinical testing services to assist
physicians in diagnosing and monitoring their patients. Rapid and accurate
analysis of blood, urine, body fluids, and tissue is performed in the areas
of clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, coagulation,
urinalysis, transfusion services, and histology.
The Laboratory is under the direction of four board certified pathologists.
Additional staff includes registered medical technologists, histologists, and
phlebotomists. The Laboratory is licensed by the Georgia Department
of Human Resources and accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
The Laboratory performs outpatient testing in the main hospital, where most
laboratory tests can be performed. Both registration and specimen collection can
be conveniently completed in the Main Laboratory Monday through Friday from 6:00
a.m. until 6:00 p.m. If you have any questions about your testing, you may call
