Respiratory Care provides care for inpatients and
outpatients of all ages. The physicians of Southern Regional
Medical Center refer patients with difficulties and abnormalities
associated with the respiratory system to the Respiratory Care
Department.
The Respiratory Care Department provides services to patients with
respiratory problems. This includes treatment of lung impairments,
evaluation of lung function, and evaluation of nutritional status,
as well as assessments of the effectiveness of the therapy prescribed.
The Respiratory Care Department operates under the leadership and
guidance of the medical director of Respiratory Care Services,
a board certified pulmonologist.
