Southern Regional's full-service MRI department performs approximately 5,000 patient exams each year.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive exam using magnetic fields to obtain detailed images of organs, tissue, bones, and other internal parts of the body. It is used to help doctors diagnose many different illnesses ranging from heart disease, stroke, and cancer, to conditions such as endometriosis.

We have two full-service scanners that utilize a Short Bore Magnet, which provides a technologically advanced exam in a more open, patient friendly environment. Our staff is committed to making sure you have the most comfortable and best experience possible throughout your exam.
