Since 1979 Southern Regional has provided cardiac and vascular care to our community. Today, our cardiac services encompass an accredited Chest Pain Center - the only one in the Southern Crescent with angioplasty - a nationally-certified cardiac rehabilitation program, advanced screening and much more. We perform more heart and vascular procedures than any other hospital in our community - but this isn't enough. Our community has no facility to perform time-sensitive open heart surgeries.
