Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit helps people who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment, or illness. The goal is to help each individual function as independently as possible through specialized treatment programs for conditions including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, neurological conditions, amputation, and trauma.
While our Outpatient Rehabilitation services provide a wide variety of therapies for patients from newborn through adulthood. Whether you have disabilities or loss of function caused by trauma, stroke, injury, developmental or degenerative illnesses, our professional therapists are here to help you. And our Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation team understands the special needs of children experiencing developmental challenges and life-altering injuries or illness. They work with you, your child, and your pediatrician to provide an individualized comprehensive physical therapy plan for your little one (ages newborn to age 12).

Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
Located on the 3rd floor of our hospital, the IRU (Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit) offers a specialized environment where you will be cared for by a team that understands your individual situation and is dedicated to helping you recover. In fact, patients treated with inpatient rehabilitation have been shown to receive a higher level of care and achieve better results versus other types of rehabilitation programs.
Outpatient Adult Rehabilitation
Southern Regional offers outpatient rehabilitation services from traditional physical, occupational and speech therapy to specialized services such as lymphedema treatment and pulmonary rehab. Read More
