Where to Report:
Please enter the hospital at the Outpatient Entrance. You may pick up the supplies needed for the test in the laboratory, which is located on the first floor of the hospital.
What to Bring:

- Driver's License / Photo Identification
- Any forms from your physician

Procedure Information:
Clostridium difficile is a bacteria which causes gastrointestinal infections ranging from asymptomatic colonization to ulcerative colitis if left untreated. Patients who have been on antibiotics for treatment of other infections can sometimes develop diarrhea from Clostridium difficle and it becomes necessary to screen stool specimens for this bacteria.
