Each pregnancy is different and so is each baby. At Southern Regional, we are prepared for everything from a high-risk delivery to a natural childbirth.  

We have state-of-the-art technology and award-winning professionals to provide the best possible care for you and your baby. Our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is ready for infants who need advanced care, and we have a neonatologist in the hospital 24 hours-a-day in case your baby requires special help.

We are always dedicated to caring for you and your growing family in a warm, comforting environment.

Making You Feel at Home

From our labor and delivery suites to our mother/baby rooms, we provide a comfortable, home-like atmosphere.

Our rooms are all-private and they are equipped with the latest monitoring technologies as well as televisions, rocking chairs and telephones to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They also feature window beds for a family member to stay overnight.

Our staff is experienced in labor support ranging from natural childbirth to epidurals. Should the need for a C-section arise, we have two operating rooms available.

Ready for Your Baby

Once your baby has arrived and you are resting comfortably, our professionals will focus on helping you adjust to parenthood. We have changing tables and exam tables in each room so that babies don't have to leave their moms when it comes time for check-ups. This also makes it easier for our nurses to show new parents the basics of baby care.

Every morning, we hold a parent education class that helps new parents learn about giving their baby a bath, taking care of the umbilical cord and other important tasks. Before you go home, one of our child passenger safety technicians can check to see that your car seat is properly installed.

Our Lactation Center has experts available 7 days a week to help you get started with breastfeeding and overcome any obstacles. The Lactation Center is staffed by Registered Nurses who are also International Board Certified Lactation Consultants who have advanced training in breastfeeding management.
