What to Bring

We want to make your stay with us as comfortable as we can. Following are items we recommend you bring with you when you’re admitted to make your stay more pleasant. Please leave all valuables at home.  Click here to review a list of items not to bring. 
 
For Mom
  • Nightgown or pajamas that button in front
  • Robe
  • Comfortable slippers
  • Regular or nursing bra that fits well
  • Hairbrush/comb
  • Toothbrush/toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Eye glasses, contact lenses, eye care solution and carrying case
  • Reading material
  • Comfortable clothes to wear home
  • Hairdryer
  • Socks
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Lip balm
  • Mouthwash
  • Rubber bands/barrettes for long hair

For Dad

  • hospital pre-admittance forms and information
  • other necessary health and insurance papers
  • list of phone numbers
  • toothbrush/toiletries (if you plan to spend the night with mother)
  • calling card to place long distance calls
  • change of clothes

 

For Baby

  • going home outfit/outfit for pictures (the hospital does not provide you with blankets or a t-shirt for your baby to wear home)
  • socks/booties
  • undershirt
  • receiving blanket
  • outerwear and blanket (depending on weather)
  • car seat for ride home (required by law). If you baby is born prematurely, a special car seat may be needed.
