Summer Free 6-Week Diabetes Course at Southern Regional Medical Center
Southern Regional Medical Center is hosting a summer FREE 6-Week Diabetes
Program presented by Alliant Quality. Participants attend the sessions
every Thursday from June 7 through July 12. The sessions will be held
from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the hospital’s Education Center
(on the Ground Floor).
This program, “Everyone with Diabetes Counts,” is designed
for Pre-Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes patients and offers a fun, engaging,
hands-on approach to learning. Participants will gain knowledge on diabetes
risks, best nutrition practices, understanding labels, complications and
medications, and ideas on managing stress – all guiding the attendee
to a better quality of life.
The Southern Regional Education Center is located in the hospital on 11
Upper Riverdale Road, Riverdale. Free parking is available. Attendees
should park at the far left of the main entrance and enter through the
doors at the end of the building. The Ground Floor can be accessed via
stairs or an elevator.
