Southern Regional Medical Center Hosts Ribbon Cutting Event for new Senior Behavioral Health Unit


WHAT: Southern Regional Medical Center will be celebrating the opening of its new 16-bed Senior Behavioral Health Unit with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the community. This unit provides short-term compassionate and engaging care to stabilize adults experiencing mental health issues requiring care beyond outpatient treatment. A secured unit, it is under the guidance of an experienced team of health professionals committed to guiding patients on their journey to well-being and supporting their families in the process.

WHEN: Tuesday, February 12, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Presentations and official “cutting of the ribbon” will take place at 4:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

WHO: Presenters to include:

  • Charlotte W. Dupré, President and CEO of Southern Regional Medical Center
  • I.H. Dhanani, MD, Board-certified Psychiatrist and Medical Director
  • The Honorable Jeffrey Turner, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Clayton County

WHERE: Southern Regional Medical Center is located at 11 Upper Riverdale Road, SW, Riverdale.The Senior Behavioral Health Unit is located on the 5th Floor. Guests are to take the elevators just past the Main Lobby and the Gift Shop.
