Fostering Healthy Living Forum Scheduled February 19

Southern Regional Medical Center, in partnership with Generational Sources of Strength, will present a “Fostering Healthy Living Forum” on February 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the hospital’s Education Center.

Attendees will hear from Robert C. Bowles who will tell his story Living with Lewy Body Dementia – Living Beyond Diagnosis: Brought out of the Valley of existing and given the gift of life. Mr. Bowles is a retired pharmacist diagnosed with (LBD) Lewy Body Dementia at the age of 64. He speaks and maintains a blog about his journey with LBD to let others know that there is life after a diagnosis of dementia. In addition to Mr. Bowels’ talk, a Panel Discussion will transpire on health self-management and improving health through lifestyle changes.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served, and door prizes given away.

The Southern Regional Education Center is located in the hospital on 11 Upper Riverdale Road, Riverdale. Free parking is available. Attendees should park at the far left of the main entrance and enter through the doors at the end of the building. The Ground Floor can be accessed via stairs or an elevator.

Although free to all, registration is requested. To reserve your spot or for questions about the Forum, call Anne Foster, GSOS, Inc. at 404-447-3721.
