Southern Regional Medical Center has announced that Thomas Grondin, MBA,
MHA, FACHE, has joined its leadership team as Chief Operating Officer.
Tom brings 33 years of operational and healthcare leadership experience
to this new position.

Dupré, President and Chief Executive Officer of Southern Regional
Medical Center. “Tom’s wealth of operational experience will
be an asset to our hospital as we continue to grow and meet the needs
of our community.”
Tom will have oversight of hospital operational and ancillary departments.
This includes: Bariatric Program Services; Biomedical Equipment Services;
Cath Lab; Diagnostic Imaging; Food and Nutrition Services; Laboratory
Services; Rehabilitation and Cardiac Rehabilitation; Respiratory and the
Sleep Diagnostic Center; Patient Transporters; Pharmacy; Plant Operations;
Spivey Station facility; and the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center.
Beginning his career in the US Air Force, Tom’s vast medical military
experience includes active duty at eight bases both stateside and abroad.
His leadership duties included such roles as Vice President of Medical
Operations, Director of Quality Services/Medical Staff, Director of Emergency
Services, and more. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at Memorial
Hospital of Tampa, FL, in addition to being their past Product Line Administrator
overseeing clinical ancillary programs, and past Director of Quality Management Services.
Tom holds two master’s degrees from Touro University International,
Cypress, CA – one in Business Administration and the other in Healthcare
Administration. He holds a BS in Health Sciences from The George Washington
University, Washington, DC. He is also a Fellow in the American College
of Healthcare Executives.
