Tech Fuller Makes a Difference in Patient Communication

Making certain that one truly understands another’s needs is based on our ability to clearly communicate. So when a patient arrived at Southern Regional’s Outpatient Center for a procedure and the patient was hearing challenged, Laurita Fuller, one of our dedicated Techs, worked to meet the patient’s special communication needs. Laurita ensured that communication accommodations were in place, so the patient would completely understand what to expect throughout their procedure, as well as to understand how her doctors and nurses would provide her care. The patient was truly grateful for all of Laurita’s efforts to meet and exceed her needs regarding her hearing challenges. After her stay, the patient shared that she received excellent care during her time at our hospital. This patient was not only met with the accommodations she needed, but with compassion and exceptional care - all of which provided comfort in expectations and an overall excellent experience.
