Visiting Hours

Interim Visitor Restrictions and Guidelines

We recognize that hospitalization is stressful and being apart from your loved ones has been difficult during these times. Southern Regional Medical Center is happy to be able to reunite our patients and families by reopening visitation allowing one visitor per patient, per day for non-COVID-19 patients. To ensure everyone’s health and well-being, we respectfully ask that you adhere to these guidelines in compliance with CDC recommendations. We thank you in advance for abiding by our guidelines as we work together to provide our patients and their loved ones the opportunity to visit while maintaining a safe and caring environment for everyone.

Visiting Hours
  • Every day from 12 noon - 6 p.m.
    • Monday - Friday: entrance is through Outpatient Registration entrance (front of the hospital, middle doors)
    • Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: entrance is through the Emergency Department
Guidelines for Visiting:
  • Only one visitor per day is allowed and it must be the same visitor for that day.
  • Every visitor must undergo a COVID-19 health screening to gain entrance.
    • Anyone exhibiting signs of illness will not be permitted to visit.
  • Visitor MUST wear a mask at all times.
  • Visitors are to perform hand hygiene upon entering and before exiting the patient’s room.
  • During your visit, we ask that you maintain social distance and continuously wear your mask.
  • Do not leave room or clinical area to travel around the facility.
  • Do not gather in common areas such as waiting areas or lobbies.
  • Leave immediately after Visiting Hours end and go to the Main entrance to exit the hospital.
  • Please understand that any visitor who does not adhere to our guidelines will be asked to leave.
Special Visitor Acceptations: (allowed 24/7)
  • Maternity patients (The Women's Center) are allowed one companion/visitor.
  • ED patients under the age of 18 are to be accompanied by one parent/guardian. There are no other visitors allowed in the ED.
  • Special needs patients are permitted a family or support person.
