Visiting Hours

Interim Visitor Restrictions and Guidelines

We recognize that hospitalization is stressful and being apart from loved ones is difficult during these times. It is unfortunate that at this time, Southern Regional will be discontinuing visitation in the hospital due to an increase in COVID-19 patients. This decision has been made to assure the health and well-being of our patients, their loved ones, and our staff with a focus on reducing the spread of this virus.

We understand how challenging this is for our patients and their loved ones. When appropriate, our clinical teams will make every effort to assist patients to virtually connect with their families.

Special Visitor Acceptations: (allowed 24/7)
  • In The Women’s Center, maternity (laboring) patients are allowed one companion/visitor.
  • In the Emergency Department patients under the age of 18 are to be accompanied by one parent/guardian. No other visitors will be allowed in the Emergency Department.
  • Special needs patients are permitted a family or support person.
  • Visitor exceptions will be made for critical situations and end of life situations, at the discretion of the care team.
Hospital Entrance Hours:
  • The Outpatient Registration Entrance (middle doors in front of the hospital) are open:
    Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for patients receiving outpatient services.
  • The Emergency Department entrance is open 24/7 for emergent patients.
  • The Women's Center entrance is available to be opened 24/7 for laboring patients. Patients need to be buzzed in during evening hours, as the entrance is secured.
