State-of-the-art Technology In a Caring Environment

An ultrasound is a non-invasive test utilizing sound waves to help physicians diagnose and treat many conditions, from breast cancer to gynecological problems. For example, obstetrical ultrasounds are important during pregnancy because they can assess how the baby is growing, how the baby is positioned and many other key factors.

Southern Regional's Diagnostic Ultrasound department performs about 1,700 procedures each month for inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department patients. Some of the more commonly-performed exams are abdominal, OB/GYN, breast, thyroid, and testicular ultrasounds. We also perform many pediatric exams such as baby spines, pyloric stenosis studies, and neonatal sonograms.

At our Advanced Imaging Center located at Spivey Station, we offer state-of-the-art 3D/4D ultrasound that allows you to see your baby in amazing detail. These images are printed and also copied onto a CD for you as a wonderful keepsake of your child.

We provide early morning, evening, and weekend appointments for our patients' convenience. To reach us at Southern Regional, please call 770-991-8183 or 678-364-4444 for Spivey Station.
